As some hapless punk rawk dinosaur once said, "We can't help it we're from Florida." Following in the grand lineage of that helplessly nihilistic shrug is Orlando-based cassette label Popnihil, eternally devoted to releasing albums from the wildest, weirdest, saddest, gothiest and most gorgeous margin-walkers - particularly those toiling away in the most unlikely spots of the Sunshine State. On Friday, Popnihil enters into an unholy alliance with Sleeping Giant in the dank recesses of the Pizza Cave to shine a blinding spotlight on Florida-born avant-electronic and alternative-drag performers all from this cursed kinda peninsula. Card subject to change, but expect the likes of Putrid Fauve, Error Mortal, Greasy Bitches, Davi Oddity, Anesthesia and more beautiful and unique unpleasantness.

Putrid Fauve (PIE)
This visceral and confrontational industrial-performance art duo are newly relocated to Florida (and we are happy to claim them). You will cry, dance, have an anxiety attack - or perhaps all three!
Greasy Bitches (ORL/TPA)
All-star improvisational synth-punk duo composed of members of Bacon Grease and Superbitch. They beat Suicide at their own game, and we write this knowing that Suicide (once) was our favorite band.
ISYA (SAU)
One of the nicest people on the planet goes feral, solo-style. Imagine a rabid Devo channeling Today is the Day and Big Black. Is this what living in St. Augustine does to you?

Davi Oddity (ORL)
Alternative-drag scene mover and living nightmare Davi Oddity thrives on chaos, horror and making you feel distinctly uncomfortable - much like the worm you are.
Anesthesia (ORL)
A uniquely Southern force in drag, Anesthesia is a creature of gothic and heretical majesty. She performs sermons, not songs; rituals of deliberate malice.
